Each application will be meticulously reviewed for eligibility, appropriateness, and impact. For an applicant to prove that the activity cost meets each of the above three elements, it is important that each activity and corresponding cost is provided in a manner that is required for an appropriate assessment by AAFC. If your project is approved, AAFC will communicate the level of reporting necessary in writing in advance of the signing of a contribution agreement.

The reporting includes progress, performance and financial reports. You will be required to provide progress reports describing the activities completed and progress made towards deliverables, as described in the Project Work Plan. All required application documents will be provided by email or mail. The application package will also provide further instruction on completing an application and other requirements.

If a submitted application is deemed incomplete, the applicant will be notified and will have 10 business days to provide the missing information before the file is closed. Applicants may be contacted throughout the review process to provide additional information or clarification to assist with the assessment.

Where audited or review engagement statements are not available, the program may exercise discretion to accept alternatives. Letters outlining confirmed cash or in-kind contributions to the project, other than the Applicant organization must be provided.
